What is the time limit for changing adressess on auto insurance? My policy will jump from 424 to 1138?
M.L.A asked:
I just drove from El Paso TX to Fayetteville NC (military) and can’t pay for the increase (my policy is good till Sept.
until I receive my travel pay (I spent all my $$ on GAS GAS GAS!!), but I don’t want to wait too long and get in trouble. It is ridiculous how much it increased. I guess I should beware all the bad drivers here!

If you are in the military your home state does not change. I don’t think you have to register a temporary change. Your driver’s license should also remain in your home state.
even though your military home state doesn’t change, your car being located in another state means you have to change your auto insurance to that state. You have 30 days to change your insurance to your new state to avoid not being covered in case of an accident.
